PILATES & YIN YOGA
With Mirren Kemp Walker
Over a 60 minute mat work class, you’ll get a feel for some basic but effective Pilates and Yin yoga movements and Mirren will talk through some of the benefits for climbers specifically. There will be progressions and modifications so you can join this class whatever your experience or fitness level.
After a back injury from dancing at 14, I was introduced to Pilates and quickly discovered its beneficial effects. I noticed improvements in my core strength, balance and posture, as well as considerable reduction in pain in my back. When I brought this new understanding to my sports related training, I saw improvements there too.
I started teacher training in 2015 and have been teaching since then. A few different branches of ‘functional movement training’ have been of interest to me. Pilates mat work, Barre and Equipilates along with Yin yoga, intrinsic biomechanics and myofascial release work. This is what I base my classes and client plans around.
This is an Adult Only Course so all participants must be at least 18 years old.
